CD / DVD Instructions

A CD or DVD in a plastic case will be turned in at the end of the semester.  The contents will include images (still and/or moving), an image list, and an artist statement. 


Instructions for formating the CD or DVD are after the jump....




CD/DVD Label:
Your first & last name, class, semester and year
Example: Nancy Floyd, PHOT 3050 [or 6050], Spring 2011

1. Images
Movies should be saved in QuickTime.
Still images should be saved in TIFF
300 ppi
Approximately 5” x 7” in size – this will vary according to image format
Title each still image, and number sequentially:  FirstnameLastname-1.tiff
Example:
NancyFloyd-1.tiff
NancyFloyd-2.tiff

2. Image List
List should be formatted in Word or as a pdf.  Include number of image, title of piece (in italics), year. Medium and dimensions.  See example below.
Example:
First & Last Name
PHOT 3050 [or 6050], Spring 2011

1.  Walking on Water, 2020. Silver gelatin print, 9” x 11”
2.  Slipping into Water, 2020.  Silver gelatin print, 16” x 20”

If it’s a movie add the running time:
1.  Walking on Water, 2020. Running time: 2:30.
2.  Slipping into Water, 2020. Running time: 5:25

Medium Terms FYI:
Color print from the processor:
                Chromogenic print
Black & white print:
Silver gelatin print
Black & white selenium toned print:
Selenium toned silver gelatin print
Mixed media:
Mixed media: silver gelatin print, graphite, chalk board.  Start with main medium first.
Installation:
                Mixed media installation: chromogenic prints, popsicle sticks, gum on acetate.


3. Artist Statement
This should be formated in Word or as a PDF
